Every Fall, students start the new school year with brand new clothes, new school supplies or even a new personal outlook. Why not start molding their minds to become more thoughtful about their money? If you know that your child can benefit from becoming more financially literate, check out what we have in store for the upcoming Fall 2020 Financial Literacy Camp!

This is an 8-week interactive learning experience packed with financial information from understanding basic financial statements to the power of saving for the future.

STEM Focus: Mathematics

Target Age: Preteens and Teens

Course Schedule:

  • Sept. 12th: Orientation: *included - Get to know your child’s instructor + Keys to Success + Lesson Demo

  • Sept. 19th: History of Money - Human beings did not always use coins + bills

  • Sept. 26th: Needs vs Wants - Distinguishing between the two are the building blocks of creating a useful budget.

  • Oct. 3rd: Price vs Cost - These terms are often used interchangeably. - Your child will learn the difference!

  • Oct. 10th: Investing Basics - There are so many amazing ways to invest your money!

  • Oct. 17th: Taxes + The Power of Saving - We will discuss how some taxes affect your finances + How Saving gives you super powers!

  • Oct. 24th: Financial Statement Basics - Keeping your finances organized and accounted for!

  • Oct. 31st: Entrepreneurship & Careers in Finance/Accounting - Let’s look at potential career choices that are needed in the business world.
